Trade encapsulation is popular with companies today as there is a myriad of products that require such facilitation. Therefore, the market offers a wide range of relevant materials that ensures a successful trade encapsulation that would benefit the company.
Various industries
Different industries would have different requirements on trade encapsulation with their diverse range of products and expectations. Trade encapsulation offers different types of materials that can be used to provide the necessary covering and protection for the respective industries’ products and needs. These include polyester encapsulation, polypropylene encapsulation and nylon encapsulation which are the more popular options.
Polyester trade encapsulation is very common in double-sided lamination as it offers a sturdier end product which industries would enjoy. Industry catalogues which are sealed in polyester encapsulation can function to increase the lifespan of the laminated document. This type of encapsulation offers a high gloss for a more professional appearance which can boost the brand and company’s image dramatically.
On the other hand, polypropylene encapsulation is cheaper than polyester encapsulation in similar industries. Polypropylene is a strong material with a good gloss finish although it is not as durable as polyester. Smaller industries with a tighter budget may use polypropylene encapsulation on their lower quality products.
Last but not least, nylon encapsulation is the most expensive of the three popular choices. However, there are better benefits of nylon encapsulations for many trade industries. The best feature of nylon encapsulation is its ability to absorb moisture and prevent curling. Thus, the document is always aesthetic looking with a longer lifespan. Moreover, nylon proves to be an excellent heat resistor with a non-stretching ability that is widely used in heavy duty applications.
Available options
Trade encapsulation is impactful on a variety of industries that offer a plethora of items to be encapsulated. The quality of trade encapsulation in any industry’s product or document would depend on the laminating film thickness and the product’s size.
The common laminating film thickness for most commercial and industrial products lies between 1.5 and 15 mm as these are heavy duty environments. The right encapsulation film is required to ensure an encompassing coverage for the identified trade product.
Some trade products would require double-sided lamination for a double dose of hardiness to ensure a longer lifespan and protection. Hence, the preferred thickness of the laminating film should be between 4mm and 30 mm to ensure a well encased document.
Trade encapsulation must be properly administered using the right encapsulation machines for the best outcome of the document or product.
